Hi! I'm pretty new to MN and so far i've had great fun chatting to lots of you. Thanx for the company on these long cold evenings

Just wondering if any of you out there are Crohn's sufferers. I've been diagnosed for about 3 years now (although i had been suffering much longer than 3 years, but doctor was not very helpful).

i didn't see the dispatches prog so can't pass comment. As i said before, my decision to have ds1 & 2 immunised was made before i was diagnosed so didn't make the link. I decided to go ahead with ds3 because 1- i had already had the other 2 done and 2- my gp's and hv told me it was the best thing to do with the increasing number of cases of measles in our area. And besides, i didn't have the MMR jab but i've got Crohns ! But i believe everyone has the right to make their own decision and i respect that 100%.

Spartamum - are you still b/feeding? good for you if you are. I believe that is the best thing to do for your child if you are a CD sufferer. I was mega-determined to get it right this time that i just got on with it. plus ds3 is a fabby feeder and was from the moment i latched him on minutes after he was born. Keep going with it if you can, in a few months you will be doing it without thinking!!!
