What could be wrong with my husband?

Any help hugely appreciated. Something is wrong with my husband and we can't figure it out. We are being shoved from pillar to post with doctors and the hospital, neither can give us answers . Basically two years ago he started to get chest pain, went to hospital they blamed him smoking. He gave up the cigarettes and still had chest pain on and off . Approximately 6 months ago he had terrible shoulder and chest pain , was rushed to hospital in ambulance.

He was in hospital for a week, they did an MRI said they could see damage to the bottom muscles of his heart. Couldn't decide as to whether he had an actual heart attack. Some doctors thought it was microcarditis (sp?) damage.Discharged and still suffering from chest pain , extreme tiredness, loss of strength, pins&needles and back pain. Several of his blood tests have shown extremely high levels of iron but they doctor didn't seem concerned. He is in a&e again today with chest pains he was in such pain and so grey looking. They did an ECG and it was clear. I'm just so worried as to what could be wrong , it's so hard to get into the doctor as it's so difficult to secure an appointment at the moment. He is a shadow of his former self Sad

Has he been seen by a Cardiologist recently? If not I’d be requesting an assessment.

Porphria? It's quite rare, so isn't always picked up immediately. www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/porphyria/symptoms-causes/syc-20356066#:~:text=Porphyria%20(por%2DFEAR%2De,to%20your%20organs%20and%20tissues.

Has haemochromatosis been ruled out OP?

IWishIWasABaller · 24/01/2022 00:19

Hi everyone yes meant to say that they checked for haemochromatosis and said the test was negative? Will look up porphia now also thanks . He has seen several cardiologists both in the hospital and he was then sent to see a specialist who preformed the MRI and an angiogram also. Report said damage to bottom left muscle in heart but no need for stents. He attended a heart rebab where they had him exercise and use a Fitbit but that's all
