Ear MRI..

When you have an ear MRI are they able to see your brain aswell?
I've had severe dizziness (not spinning) for months now and had an ear mri back in august which was normal and was then referred to cardio due to abnormal spikes in heart rate which then thought could be pots however recently my heart rate is very stable and barely reaches 100's except for mornings when it can reach 130 for no reason just for standing...
I'm a bit concerned this has something to do with my brain as I've been getting some weird head pressure recently which is a new symptom for me, usually it's a feeling of being pulled down or like I'm going to faint, I'm just concerned whether something has been missed :(

I'd ask your consultant but when I had one, I believe it was to rule out anything sinister like a brain tumour. So, yes, I think it would be looking at your brain.

Yes the MRI looks at everything. Who reviewed it? If it was a neurologist I think they would eyeball your brain while looking at the ear images. Mine did. He found damage to my sinuses as a aside. He showed me my brain ( for nerve pain in leg btw) very interesting.

So it was an ear mri to see if the dizziness was caused by an inner ear issue, however I thought because it's an ear mri and it's directly connected to the brain I was thinking if they saw something they would flag it up - it was asked for by an ENT who I'm no longer with as there were no abnormalities he said

I think they would. As they scroll it up and down it's pretty easy to see anything sinister. My neuro was showing me my ventricles. He was initially looking for MS but found spine degeneration. He was certainly looking for anything else that could be related.
