Anyone good at "Guess the Toddler Illness"?

I have picked my 3 year old son up early from his childminder today as he has during the course of the day:

Been very quiet
Not eaten or drank much at all (MOST unlike him)
Wee'd himself 3 times - he is potty trained
Felt slightly hot
Said his tummy is hurting

Since getting home he has drunk really quite a lot and is currently dancing to Space Pirates so whilst I am not desperately worried about him I wondered if there is something I am missing?

Could it be a urinary tract infection? Just wondering with the wee-ing.

Anyone got the foggiest?

Bit of food poisoning? Tummy ache, slight fever... maybe the weeing is just a symptom of general feeling a bit pants?

my very unmedical way of dealing with such things is Calpol and bed and then see how he is in the morning

Oooooh, really? Do you think? Would you expect sickness and diahorrea with that too or is that not necessarily part and parcel?

The little sod lamb has just hit me on the back of the head with the carboard inner tube of a roll of wrapping paper. Seems to be coming round a bit now

I diagnose "a bit of an off day"

mulledwinestein · 18/12/2007 18:17

Now that I can deal with. Now what was that medicine called for dealing with "Off Days" again.... phenergan? [joke]

Might be sore throat, sore tummy could be glands. My ds always gets sore tummy with ear/throat infections. Glad he is feeling better though!

That makes sense - I suppose the "nasties" get into the tummy. And now you say that my childminders son has just been to the doctors with a suspected ear infection but it is a sore throat and a lymph node is up [dumbass why did I not make the connection emoticon]
It's a terrifying minefield this parenting lark when you're as dumb as I am.
