What do you keep in medicine cupboard for winter?

For colds etc? Generally we are really healthy people. But have had a bad run of bad colds lately - not covid as pcr negative.

I always keep some paracetamol and Calpol in the cupboard. Also a tub of vicks etc!

But what else?

Would like to stock up so I don't have to worry about going out to get supplies if we actually get ill again.

What's good to have?

Sudafed or decongestant nose spray, chloraseptic throat spray, vicks or olbas oil, paracetamol ibuprofen, lemsip (DP prefers those to taking paracetamol), some menthol sweets, cough syrup (again, for DP, I don’t think it makes any difference to be honest, honey would work the same in sure).

Not in the medicine cabinet, but a hot water bottle is nice to cuddle up with when you feel grotty. Also some Vaseline to apply to your nose if it’s getting sore from blowing it constantly.

Also effervescent vitamin C tablets. There’s marginal evidence it may help reduce the length of illness slightly if you start taking them as soon as your cold symptoms start, and I’m anything for getting it over with as quickly as possible!

Paracetamol, olbas oil, strepsils and lemsip.

Oh and those Kleenex balsam tissues - make your nose much less sore.

Tiger Balm (both red and white) - red for pulled muscles etc, white soothes a headache really well.
Paracetemol
Strepsils
Ibuprofen
Lip salve
I'll buy cough syrup if its needed - no point in it otherwise.

I might go as far as a hot lemon drink but my DH prefers hot Bovril drink and I like Miso - very comforting.
