Hi I am a mother of one DD, and lo and behold 2 evenings ago I noticed my bum was a bit itchy I went to the loo and discovered some wrigglies 😭😭 I have ptsd from my DDs biological father as he was sexually abusive to me in that area. I have recovered from it mostly. But this is really triggering it. I took ovex yesterday about 5PM as did my partner and my DD. I can't seem to find any on my DD. I also work in the hospital as a healthcare assistant and I am wondering if I picked it up there! However I wash my hands constantly in work,.keep my nails trimmed etc and I've never picked up anything else. I feel totally disgusting and down

Bumping this, I woke up at 6 this morning to hot wash all of our bedding yet again, sent my daughter into school with hand sanitizer, and have trimmed her nails as short as they can be, and have drummed it into her head to keep washing her hands!
I'm exhausted tomorrow I'm working a 13 hour shift 😴 and I know how shattered I will be in the morning I can't see me washing all of my bedding tomorrow morning, will this be okay?
I checked my DDs bum last night when she was asleep and saw one of the wriggle little f**ers! Shes been wetting the bed yet again which has been an added nightmare. I'm a single working (30 hours a week in my local NHS hosp) mum. I have let work know and they have said I'm fine to work as long as I'm meticulous about my hand-washing. Please can someone give me some reassurance that the buggers will go away soon 😔

Of course they will go away, and they are really common. We changed our bedding and took the tablets, gone within a few days. We also took a second load of treatment 2 weeks later just incase there were any eggs etc.

When my children were younger bedwetting seemed to be a sign of threadworms.
They are horrible, but this probably won't be the last time and almost certainly came from school.
Remember to hoover lots and wear underwear in bed until they are gone.

Wash bums in the morning. This washes away the eggs.

Put Vaseline on at night. Stops them laying eggs l think.
