Never heard of it before mumsnet and now I think gecko has it???

How will she be suffering?

What can I do to help her (if anything) before I can get to the docs tommorow?

Can her sisters or I catch it??

Is that what is also wrong with her bum which has been almost RED raw the last couple of days and not really going with sudocrem??

How do you get it??

What is the doctor going to say?

How do I help her not to get it again?

Is this why she has been seeming to scratch her tongue with her fingers and make herself gag the last few days??

completely clueless, help me

It's a fungal infection, babies are prone to it as have lots of "moist' areas. Don't worry unless she has gone of feeds, you can buy Nystan oral gel over the counter for it, Gp will prob say, "oh yes" and do a px for mouth and bum don't panic

TrinityTheRedNosedRhino · 14/12/2007 18:20

hey why are you being like that
I didn't mean anything like that
I read your post a nd took it in and it answered a couple of my questions
thanks

Its just that I'm panicling a little and I guess I'm hoping for lots of people to tell me that it's not that bad and shes not suffering horribly or something
I know I didn't make that clear in my op.

sorry fio, I wasn't being rude or saying your advice was shit. I was just wanting more people to say more calm things

my 9mth old boy had thrush. he was prescribed daktarin gel by gp and it cleared up quickly. it is important to sterilise anything she puts in her mouth i.e. cups, teats, dummies. don't worry it is just one of these things they pick up but don't allow your toddler to drink from her cup.

thanks guys
docs not open today so went o the chemist and pharmacist looked and now we have canseten cream and daktarin gel

thanks

If they get it in mouth, do they nearly always have it "down there"?
