They don't seem to be bothering her, but over the last couple of days I have noticed these spots on her face. They are just like teenage spots and are around her mouth, nose and 'T' zone.

Are they normal?

Normal!

They'll be gone by 6-7 wks, get HV to check them if v red but just wipe with cotton wool and water.

dd1 had this, doctor said it was her skin getting used to the air after beinf inside for 9 months.

Yes very very normal - and it is sort of teenagery in a faintly creepy way! It's your hormones working their way out of her.

It's the reason people take all those new newborn pix and then strangely there's a bit of a gap until the six-week cherub stage. Because there's those spots. They will pass!

Thanks everyone, awwwww bless her teenage spots at 3 weeks!!

yes they're normal. it's a bit embarrassing takign your gorgeous but spotty child out for a while but they do go, leaving lovely skin underneath

Normal and very annoying - we have the gap in pictures Bink talks about

DS is 7 weeks old and has been spot free for a couple of weeks now so just try to ride it out.

Or, take a billion pictures to use as ammo in the teenage years?

GoodGollyMissMolly · 13/12/2007 16:00

lol at taking pics to use as ammo, good advice, thanks

Yes. Called "baby acne" for obvious reasons.
