Anyone still have baby teeth? If so how long have they lasted?

I have 4 baby teeth that never feel out (all of my second pre molars) and they are all really sensitive. Only these teeth not any others. I have mentioned to the dentist these are baby teeth but she didn't confirm this is the cause of sensitivity. She said my teeth are fine. I'm 36 in 2 weeks and just wanted to know how other people have got on with theirs. I'm kinda concerned they will need extracted. Thanks

I still have one. I'm 47. It's in great condition still.

I'm 52 and still have baby teeth, just never had a full adult set

I'm a few weeks off 50 and still have 2 in good condition - no fillings yet!

Thanks makes me feel a better. Hopefully get to keep them a bit longer. They all look fine according to dentist and only one has a filling so fingers crossed.

I'm 49 and still have one. My father is 74 and still has two!

I’m 36; had 2 baby teeth until a couple of months ago. Ones is still fine, had one extracted. Dentist said it looked fine and couldn’t find anything wrong with it but I kept getting shooting pain through it! He had to put it down to the age of the tooth in the end

I had two retained baby teeth, one removed around two years ago. Has anyone who lost them done anything to fil the gap? Jist wondering about options for when the other has to go!

Tryingnottostress · 09/11/2021 16:13

If I lost one I would look at an implant because they are very visible for me. If mine were molars I don't know what I could do in that case. I would also like to hear what other people have done.

I’m the winner then !
I’m 61 and still have a baby tooth 🪥

swampytiggaa · 09/11/2021 16:18

I had my last one taken out last year at 51. It really didn’t want to come out 😂😂

Mine were all at the back so I’ve done nothing about the gaps as they don’t show.

I have two - first lower molar on both sides. I do have some gum recession and a small filling in one, but apparently the roots are good so I should have them for a while yet. The dentist recommended implants, if and when I do part ways with them, because I had my back teeth out as a teenager so wouldn’t want to compromise my other teeth with a bridge or similar as I don’t have as many as I should.

I'm 45 and still have 8, I had a bad case of Hypodontia and have unfortunately passed it on to DD, it's hereditary.

I have two bridges at the top and I've recently lost one at the bottom between the front and back so a bit noticeable. I can't have a bridge to replace as the teeth either side are baby ones so it wouldn't support it so my options are a denture or an implant.

Ooo me too!

38 and have 1 baby tooth. I've never met anyone who had any too.

My mum had exactly the same baby tooth in the same position but hers became wobbly in her early 30's and eventually fell out.
Because of that I've always been really paranoid about losing it (it's at the front) but the dentist says it's fine and held in place by the surrounding teeth.

I did look into it being correct once as my adult tooth is in my gum but growing sideways- very complicated to pull it out, operation and years of train track braces plus a 10k bill!

Assuming it's hereditary I keep a close eye on my children's teeth so they can have it corrected in their teens.
