Can dermatologists help with hyperpigmentation

I have discoloration on my cheekbones from being sunburnt years ago and it’s never fully gone away.

Also I have a darker outline around my lips and my GP says it’s because I lick my lips and rip the skin off (that can’t be just me, right?) and that’s led two tone lips. She said it was to do with the fact that the outer line hasn’t been removed but the inner skin has been so it’s more new and therefore lighter. However, as these are considered cosmetic, I will not be referred to a dermatologist.

I’m willing to see someone privately, if it will actually work Easter Sad

Skin+Me is an online dermatologist, they can prescribe. Here’s my referral code for a months free. Full disclosure I’d get £10 off too. melissaw6u4r. I can’t get on with Tretonoin so they’ve given me azaelic acid and nicanamide but I’ve only used it 3 times.

I’ve got hyperpigmentation from the contraceptive implant and I’ve worn spf 50 for 22 years so I really did not sign up for pigmentation, I should be lily white. It gave me cystic acne too so I’ve got red scars to fade as well.

Never heard the lip licking thing before. Try using nipple cream on your lips, they won’t feel dry then so you won’t need to moisten them. You’ll know if she’s right then. Superdrug do one for 99p or I use lasinoh which is £10 but basically lasts all year as you need the smallest amount. It’s the lanolin that works.
