Mild migraine?

For the record, I’ve experienced true migraine with aura, only twice but I can’t forget the agony of the pain, nausea, photophobia etc. I had complete ocular aura both times as well.

Is it possible to get a mild migraine headache? I ask because for a couple of months I’ve been experiencing intermittent one sided headaches, primarily focussed on my eye (usually the right eye but sometimes the left) but expanding into my temple and further back (not as far as the back of my head though). I’ve not had any noticeable aura but I am experiencing mild photophobia and phonophobia, dizziness and some nausea too. The dizziness is worse when I tilt my head up and down (but not side to side)

It feels like a migraine but it is mild and it doesn’t compare at all with my previous experiences! It is painful enough to distract me from things I should be doing and to give me a fair amount of discomfort and dizziness and confusion, but in the past I’ve been confined to bed in a darkened room, and this isn’t anywhere near that bad!

I had a phase a few years ago of ocular migraines (I think?) ie. the migraine ocular aura and nausea etc but no headache. That was scary and weird but not painful. I also get what I think are called retinal migraines, where a patch of my vision in one eye is completely occluded for a while, but which eventually fades away. I am currently doing a lot of teeth grinding esp at night so I’m wondering whether this is having an impact.

I’m having one now which was triggered by mask wearing this morning, but they’ve been triggered by other types of pressure on my face. I don’t know what is causing it, which means I don't know how best to treat it but it is definitely debilitating, just nowhere near as bad as previous true migraines I’ve suffered.

Any insights?
