Would I be wasting the GP’s time with this?

Not expecting a diagnosis - just wondering whether anyone has a sense of whether this is a GP matter?

Bit of context - I’ve had a really busy few months with family illness, bereavement, high risk pregnancy (I’m now in the third trimester), work, Covid-related stuff, etc.
So when I noticed a spot/lump on my finger a few months ago I did not have a moment to even think about it.

At first I thought it was just a spot, then I thought maybe a wart - I’ve never had them before so don’t have any experience with them.

I finally got around to looking up whether you can buy otc wart treatment in pregnancy and I suddenly thought maybe it’s not that. Could it actually be something a bit more serious like a skin cancer?

It doesn’t hurt or itch. It has been a tiny bit crusty (sorry!) just over the last couple of weeks. As I say, it’s been there for 2-3 months.

Done my best with pics. Sorry - I know the lighting’s not great.

I’ve got a niggling worry now that this is something I should get looked at but equally feel weird trying to get a doctor’s appointment for a spot.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

I’ve had similar to this in the past.

It was a pale hair that got ingrown. I sorted after a good pick 🤣

I would make a GP appointment to get it checked out just to be on the safe side

Definitely get it checked out at the GP if you have had it this long. Like others have said you can very likely send in photos. You will not be bothering them.

If it’s something you would have went to the doctors about before Covid go. Too many people are putting things off they are worried about . Doesn’t look like anything to me but I would get that checked out .
