Gallbladder issues

Hello
I've had problems with my gallbladder for years. A scan 3 years ago revealed stones but because my pains were mild, I was advised to modify diet. I haven't had any real problems over the years, but I still tenderness under my right ribs if I eat anything with a lot of fat. My other symptoms are gurgling tummy and the odd twinge behind right should blade.
I paid for a private scan last week and the doctor said I have stones, but so many people do and I don't need to have the GB removed if my symptoms are this mild.
Is there anyone out there who has lived a long time with stones and mild symptoms? I'd rather not have surgery and while I do miss pastries and ice cream, I can live without them.

Yes I had a scan in 2016. Certain foods are more of a trigger than others. I probably get a couple of attacks about every 3 months. I take Buscopan, place a heated wheatbag over the area and lie on my left side. It’s usually gone in 20 minutes. If I had them more frequently or was unable to manage pain I’d consider surgery but I don’t think it’s an easy answer for everyone.

I've had a few gallbladder attacks and been put on AB's for it.
It's bloody hideous. They said if it happens again surgery is required.

I find peppermint tea with no milk is good. It clears everything out.

Thank you @Kabloom for sharing. I agree about surgery and it's not always an option for everyone. It's nice to hear from someone who is living with stones as most people say they are having/had their GB removed. I hope you are able to continue to manage your pain
