Help with SVT

I have had SVT all my life and have always managed it by either controlling my breathing, if that does not work I just lie down and wait for it to stop.
Last time we went skiing the SVT kicked in one evening. I could not stop it, so the attack ran for 14 hours. I was exhausted and felt really ill.
I am now scared to go skiing again in case I have another attack.
I've never had any meds for it and don't have it often enough (maybe once a month) to risk an ablation.
Has anybody got any advice n how to manage this? I don't want to stop skiing, but the thought of being up a mountain a long way from an A&E and having another severe attack is too worrying.

I have SVT that is successfully managed with beta blockers -has your gp not suggested this?

That's an extended length of time for an attack, you should have gone to the hospital for treatment. Why haven't you been given medication?

I had this, heart was pounding so fast l couldn’t count the beats. Went to A&e and ecg showed heart was 220 bpm, straight to resus where they used medication to get it down, then they monitored me for 6 hours before letting me home.
Why haven’t you seeked help for this before? Can you monitor your heart rate? How fast does it get to? Leaving it for 14 hours seems too long to me.

Have you tried the conversion techniques? Bearing down etc?
