Lump on front of my neck

I have a lump where I presume my thyroid is, at the base of my neck. I can feel it more than I can see it, iyswim.
From reading online, I think it may be a goitre.
I have some symptoms of overactive thyroid-
Anxiety
Insomnia
Itchy skin
Flushed skin
Feel hot all the time
Loose stools (sorry!)
Frequently need a wee
Mind races away with me
Can often feel my heartbeat thumping

But no weight loss whatsoever.

Im 47 so I suppose symptoms could be perimenopause, my periods have got a lot shorter.

I had bloods done privately 18 months ago and my TSH was 0.7 then, which is normal, but I didn't have the lump or symptoms then.

Im already on Propranolol for anxiety. I tried to get a GP appointment a few weeks ago but our doctors isn't doing face to face appointments yet.

Does anyone have any advice please, or has anyone had similar? Many thanks xx

I have a benign thyroid nodule which you can see at the base of my neck when I lean my head back. If anything my thyroid is borderline underactive. When I went to the GP about the lump I was referred to an endocrinologist and for an ultrasound scan to make sure it was nothing sinister (they most usually aren’t). Will the GP do an e-consult thing so you could send a photo?

I've got an underactive thyroid, had a goitre a while back (pregnancy screwed my levels). They scanned it and managed it with meds. 18 months is a reasonable gap to request a new blood test IMO, but you'll need to speak to a doctor, least of all with the blood bottle shortage. Did they check your T4 too? Good luck with an appointment.

I had a goitre that was checked on each year and after about 6 years I had it removed. I didn’t have any symptoms with it.

Thanks for the replies. Interesting that underactive thyroid seems more frequent.
I'll call the doctors again, hopefully I can see someone now.
