Hi All
I couple of months ago, a crown came away from the bottom left hand of my tooth, since then, I have suffered from a metallic taste in my mouth, I put it down to the my exposed tooth, believing that perhaps it was the metallic causing an upset in my digestive system. I have also suffered from feeling nausea, retching but only saliva, diarrhoea and loss of appetite. Unfortunately due to covid and the dentistry world being as it is, I didn't manage to secure an appointment until last Friday (24th September 2021) in order to have an extraction. This went well, although after the extraction quite understandably, I was a bit woozy and quite tired, so I slept for most of the afternoon. Overnight didn't fare much better as I tossed and turned all night, feeling hot, then cold, eventually morning arrived and I did feel slightly better. At 63 years of age, maybe it was the trauma that caused this, because last night, I slept right through. However, I had hoped that with the tooth now out, everything would settle down, but unfortunately not. I'm not experiencing any stomach cramps or pains, just feeling really uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I had to cook lunch for family today, which I just about managed with a huge amount of help from my partner, but when I looked at my plate, I just could not face eating it, so I just busied myself so that no-one noticed. However, when it came to desserts, I did manage a tiny bit of the sticky toffee pudding. I am going to call my doctor tomorrow, but just wondered if anyone had a similar experience? Just to be safe, I washed and sanitised my hands constantly, and I was able to cooked food without touching any of it.
