DP is in a bit of bother with his skin. He’s had really itchy patches on and off for the past 2 years, mostly on his lower legs but also on his torso. He has been told before by his GP it is eczema. Attached are photos of one leg today. Has anyone experienced similar?

I haven't experienced similar but a distant relative had eczema.
I suggested Ty hat she drop the usual laundry detergents and fabric softener and switch to mineral bleach ( comes as s powder and looks like washing powder) for washing and white vinegar for softener.
Also, use toiletries ( shower gel and shampoo,) that are free from SLS (sodium laurel sulphate), eg: Faith In Nature, Jason Natural, etc.
Simple changes and it made a world of difference to her.
I'd also try a shower filter too.
Good luck

Thank you so much, interesting about a water filter and mineral bleach- will definitely look into it. He’s just started using goats milk soap to see if that helps 🤷‍♀️🤞.

Eczema is at core an allergic reaction to some internal or external substance. So your DH needs to do detective work to find out the trigger(s). For example, I get eczema on inside of my elbows from certain food preservatives.

So, keep a food journal and see if any link between a food and a rash appearing.

Agree with pp regarding other common allergens like SLS and washing detergents.

Another to consider is artificial fabrics. My DS reacts to polyester in clothes. So, for example many socks have polyester in them...this would give him a rash on his feet/calves. Plus a non iron work shirt or an athletic shirt exercise shirt would also make his torso So consider switching to natural fabrics.

I have been wondering about his socks as the majority of it is in that area.
He does get a lot of stomach pain too so a food diary might help with both.
Thank you for your help, you’ve given us some really good ideas to explore!

All good suggestions, also try emulsifying shower wash such as Aveeno or E45, rather than soaps .
