Really itchy reaction to insect bite

I managed to get bitten multiple times last night on my arms and legs - I think by mosquitos. I've always reacted quite badly to bites, but as I've got older it has got worse and worse. They now look like this, c 24 hours after the bites. I've been taking Piriton, have used antihistamine cream and have used an electric bite zapper thing (can't remember name - it heats the bite very quickly and does reduce the swelling and itchiness temporarily).

Any ideas about what else to do to get a good nights sleep? Last night I kept waking up wanting to scratch myself to pieces. Any contact with fabric is really unpleasant - it makes the area swell.

:(

Ice on the affected areas really helped me, along with antihis t amine tablet and cream

Hot teaspoon.

Place spoon in boiling water. Place it as hot as you can bear against the bite and hold until it cools down. Repeat about 4 or 5 times.

I used to swell up and itch like Mr Blobby. Also if you have any pile cream that has an anesthetic in it.

Thanks - this is what the zapper thing I have does too. Incredibly effective (but short lived).

No, it should kill it. It takes a bit to go down, but it’s transformed my life. My bites used to swell to the size of cupcakes.

Now they go as soon as l zap them. Hot hairdryer also helps.

Do the spoon thing for about 15 mins.

I always have to wear insect repellent these days as I get horrid localised reactions. Antihistamine will help with the itching, and I've got a steroid cream on prescription that zaps the angry red heat.
