Colonoscopy advice

Hello all
After bleeding with bowl movements for a few weeks I have been referred for a colonoscopy on Thursday.

Does everyone need sedation? I've had 2 kids and I have the coil so my pain threshold is high.

I have the prep stuff and I am eating white foods for now.

I have a competition for my sport (wrestling) on Saturday, but will I be ok to train after the procedure? Will I still be able to compete? It's tough exercise but I am very fit.

Also how does the procedure affect your weight? I have to weigh in before my comp.

Any extra advice

Thanks

Did you struggle with the prep. Nothing is happening for me after 2 hours but I’ve only been able to drink 1/3 on 2 hours will keep drinking but lord it’s awful

@MeganMoo22 you need to down the prep faster than that.
Try putting it in the fridge (I poured a cup at a time), drinking with a straw and a lemonade chaser (I didn't risk anything coloured). It's vile and salty but you must get it down for the procedure to work.

I feel so sick drinking it. They told me to sip it and urgh. Considering I can barely drink a litre a day of something I like this is the worst
