Anyone had success with hypnotherapy?

Wondering if anyone could share their experience of having issues helped by hypnotism/hypnotherapy? If so how many sessions did it take? I've always thought it a bit woo, but seriously considering giving it a try. I tried EFT a few years back (tapping) and it did nothing for me. Thankfully the person doing it said I didn't have to pay as it didn't work. Not sure hypnotherapists would do this. .. have looked up a local one and fees are a bit steep so would like to know if it does work for some?

@IsThisTheEndo

Also following this. I've been thinking about whether hypnotherapy might work in terms of general fitness and eating more healthily? If anyone has experiences to share in that area?
Yes it will help with this.

Following with interest as making enquiries locally for health eating sessions which in my area was advertised as £450 for 4 sessions if you want some price comparisons Op

I got hypnotherapy for public speaking, £60 per session, two sessions (ca 6 years ago) made a really significant difference, I wished I’d done it 20 years earlier but was a last resort as I thought it was horseshit. I recommend it to others a lot, those I’ve recommended it to have had mixed results though (used different hypnotherapists)

Local one fees are £65, after £35 for short introductory meeting. Can't see any reviews though, and don't know anyone locally who can recommend someone.

TBH the £1250 I would pay if I was guaranteed that it would work ... it's the not knowing that makes me hesitate to go to any therapist, but at least I wouldn't be losing as much - yes I know it's a negative attitude!

I just finished a course of hypnotherapy sessions over Zoom (used a headset) and also I bought Paul McKenna's book which included a hypnotic trance for stress, anxiety and difficulty sleeping. Worked a treat, I am sleeping better, exercising and feeling a lot happier already. My mind never stops, so I was very sceptical about it, but yeah. It was a good call.

Glad it helped @ginghamstarfish. I do the hand squeeze exercise a few times when I'm going anywhere I feel anxious and it really helps. It's easy to do without anyone noticing too.

@userlotsanumbers thanks, found the Paul McKenna stuff on Youtube and might give it a try for a week or two, I think it will tell me if I can benefit from this kind of thing.

Ok, tried the Paul McKenna audio for 3 nights now, and nothing. I hear the words, notice the odd bits (notice noticing ...), then the bits where there's a difference thing being spoken into each ear. Are you supposed to concentrate on one of them? Neither of them? I'm afraid I'll never get into this...
