Has anyone become ill from Whitstable oysters this weekend?

I’m absolutely in agony and can’t keep anything down at all.
Only thing I can put it down to is the oysters.

I know there have been issues a few weeks ago but PHE tested and gave the all clear so they could go on sale again

Anyone had any issues this weekend?

Michael Winner eventually died after a dodgy oyster, didn't he?
Anyway, OP, hope you feel better now.
I'm from Whitstable.
Ate my first oyster in Mexico, weirdly enough.
They do need to be very very fresh and even then it's a bit of a roulette.

I was ill for 10 days after eating Oysters in Barbados 12 years ago.
I've never touched them since. I lost nearly a stone, I've never been so ill in my life.

@Cookerhood

A friend used to work in a microbiology lab & would never eat shellfish or seafood - her comment was that they hang around doing backstroke by sewage outlets. It rather put me off! Hope you feel better soon.
We always say this Too! From a Victoria Wood sketch when I was a child.

10 days! Shock that’s dreadful . Did you ever find out what illness you caught from them?

Still feeling dreadful but having been sick in the night and managed to keep down the Coca-Cola cola I drank.

Feeling very weak and sore

My 4 year old has their first day at school today and I’ve no idea what to do

I didn't ever find out, no.
DH actually ordered 12 Oysters. We were at a reputable restaurant on the West coast that we'd been to before. DH had most of them and I had about 4. It was a Thursday night.
DH got ill the next day, we went a walk up the beach first thing like we always did and he said his legs felt like they had nothing in them, by evening he was really sick. He was better by the Sunday.
I felt fine until Saturday night. We were meant to be going out to Daphnes, but DH still felt rough, so I ordered room service for me. I was laughing with DH that maybe I had it too because my stomach was gurgling.
Roll on the early hours, projectile vomiting and diarrhoea. Felt better Sunday, weak but ok. Monday it was back and stayed with me til we flew home a week later. We had the hotel doctor out twice who just kept saying it was a bug. DH tried to get him to admit me to hospital but he said there was no need, it'd pass. He knew, he just didn't want it getting out.
I love Barbados, we went back 4 years running after that, but I was so scared of getting ill I never ate anything raw there again.
A local on the beach who DH went diving with and knew well said he would never touch the oysters.
By the flight home I was at least able to go quite a long time without being ill and anyway I think I was more worried about embarrassing myself!!
Gave a sample to my GP after I got home but she didn't think it'd show anything as it'd been too long and it was.
I ate toast for ages, was just scared of eating anything else.
I often thought of Michael Winner. I know he'd got a very bad liver problem after eating them or something. I have Gilbert's syndrome and can't really drink much alcohol. Maybe a link there!?
