Dizziness and referral

Hi everyone, I've been getting horrible dizzy spells and headaches, doctor had ruled out infection of the ear, ruled out vertigo and any other conditions that he was able to establish and has now referred me onto ENT
I'm a 25 year old female and I'm actually worried about anything sinister, the dizzy spells feel like a swaying motion for a few seconds then go but always come back and I've recently developed headaches at the back of my head with it, almost feels like pressure all around my head and ears.
I initially thought it was an inner ear infection as i have had this before, this exact thing and I was given anti biotics and it went! But now they are telling me no, it's not that and we will just have to refer you.
What could be causing this? It's very concerning I get it when I'm outside walking when I'm sat down, when I'm laid down everything!
My ear is a tad itchy and I feel so much pressure in my head and ears together, how long does it take to get an appointment during these unprecedented times? I just want it gone :( I've had it for about two weeks now.
@Anonymousxo I don't think there are any tests for PPPD. All mine were normal. It's a case of running all the tests and eliminating other diagnoses.
Okay, I've been referred to my local hospital balance clinic, hopefully they get the right diagnosis! Did you have an mri on your brain? I only have an mri booked for my inner ear currently

My MRI balance tests and hearing tests were all normal. I had identical symptoms to you and it was vestibular migraine caused by teeth grinding.

Wearing a dental splint has cured my dizziness, ear and jaw pain. You can buy bruxism guards on Amazon.

Surely worth a try?

Yes @Anonymousxo I had a brain MRI. There was some concern that I had a neurologist issue. I didn't.

Did ENT refer you or do the brain mri? One doctor I spoke to on 111 told me it sounds like a brain issue so since then I have had it at the back of my mind that I do want to get a brain mri just incase, atm I haven't got one booked for my brain

Hi, nope! Ear mri was completely normal and I'm on the waiting list to be seen at balance clinic, however I spoke to a different doctor yesterday and I've now been referred for an overnight heart monitor, she seems to think it may be heart related after all but as of yet I am still having the same symptoms :(

Hi everyone, so I ended up being referred to cardio who now suspect potentially I have a blood pressure problem and have referred me for a TTT - there’s been a few times now where my blood pressure has been high and very low, still not a confirmation though, not until the TTT happens which is a few months wait yet!

it started off with feeling like my ear was blocked with wax , mild earache and a feeling of like pressure in it , as it went into a year and it was clear after the nurse syringing it with no earwax at all , the earache increased to sometimes throbbing pain . i also had deafness in the ear , i was diagnosed with md at the hospital after a referal ,
i get mild unsteadiness , esp on rising in the morning and i also get spinning when i lie down intially . i cant look up anymore as i spin , i have to use a stool even to look in say top shelf of kitchen cupboards

the deafness in the affected ear is 30 percent hearing loss now , i was given a hearing aid , i have tinnitus in the ear now , sometimes its not noticiable , other times im very aware of the buzz and whine of it

iv had three major attacks , where i have been spinning and collapsed on the floor , getting up is impossible , there is no balance at all , its like being extremely drunk , there is sickness i have thrown up reapeatly when iv had an attack . staying horizontal and waiting for it to wear off is the only thing md sufferers can do .

my md is worse when im stressed , two of my attacks happened after a period of intense worry and stress

i take beatahistine 3 times daily to help decrease the feeling of pressure in my affected ear , it does help it though somedays if its bad im naughty and double it up . if its really bad and i feel very spinny i buy myself some travel sickness tabs and they help with any nausea
