Tooth extraction healing

Would anyone be happy (or at least willing) to look at a pic of my extraction site and say whether it looks like it is healing ok?
Had it taken out Wednesday pm, it took about 30 minutes and was quite traumatic for me (dentist phobia). I think he struggled to get it out as there was some drilling.
Anyway, bleeding didn't take long to stop, took painkillers within an hour of extraction as advised and have been careful with eating and salt water rinses. Still got pain 4 full days later. Localised and not throbbing or spreading to jaw, ear etc. Manageable but distracting and annoying now. Is this normal, particularly with a perhaps awkward extraction? Ie bruising, trauma to the gum and general area?
I can see what looks like bone but not sure if its the granulation stuff and just wanted my overactive imagination and mind putting at ease!
I could ring the dentist tomorrow but I am going again Wednesday for my son's checkup so could ask him to look then.

Does it still have the clot over the hole? I had a tooth extracted and the dentist didn't give me any instructions on how to deal with it and I ended up getting dry socket and the pain was unimaginable (far worse than childbirth).

With my second extraction, I did everything they tell you to. Salt water, not eating solids etc and I seem to remember I had no pain after the first day. If you're still in a pain a few days after, I would ask them to have a look at it as soon as you can.

There is something quite dark in the hole, which I think - i hope! - is the clot. But I can also see white so I'm worrying that's the dreaded bone. I've read the pain is horrendous so while I do have a bit of pain, I'm not sure it's the level I think comes with dry socket.
I had a failed root canal tooth extracted a few years ago and don't remember it being painful days later but maybe they one came out easier so less trauma to the area. This one was cracked so a bit longer, a bit more work to get out. Hoping it's just that as I don't fancy any more time in that chair!

I have some white stuff covering my extraction site should I be worried?
