Lol not sure of the spelling and cant be asked to do spell check.

Problem is that ds (6) has had this V for two months. In those two months I have visited the Doctor twice. One Doc said to leave it. The other gave us some stuff to put on it.

It has become a large bump on the sole of his foot by his heel. Its painful and has spent the last couple of months hobbling which cant be good for his development.

Rang Doc today clinic to burn them off is not til 21st December. Cant wait that long he needs this V off now to be comfortable.

Anyone know where I should turn to get this done sooner?

You can buy stuff from the pharmacist to freeze off veruccas at home. I can't remember the name, but the pharmacist will know. Read the instructions before you buy it because it is scary stuff, so you need to be confident in using it, and it is pricey, so an expensive buy if you don't use it. I have used it on DD and it is very effective - it only needs one application.

Alternatively, get back to GP and explain that it is affecting your DSs ability to walk properly - put like that it sounds quite urgent doesn't it.

Thanks Chop, yes already wasted money on that before I went to the first Doctor. About £8 and not really man enough for the job tbh. Oh im the type that feels they should only bother the Doctor if you are dying!

Years ago there was a thread about banana skin against the verucca would help to get rid of it. I don't think it got rid of my dd's any quicker but it certainly helped nothing else did and eventually it did go.

We just peeled a bit of banana cut off a piece put the inside of the banana against the verucca and then a plaster to keep it in place. We did it every morning and it really helped. If I remember correctly it softened. Eventually it came away whole. Also didn't waste the banana as we kept one to peel a bit of each day if no-one fancied eating a whole banana that morning. Hope this helps.

A chiropodist recommended to me homeopathic tablets -thuja- and zinc plasters but it takes a while.

Hi

This needs to be treated straight away.

Get the yellow pages out and look up chiropodists in your area.

questions to ask

Do you treat children?
Are you registrerd with the HPC?
Do you do chriotherapy (that what it is when you burn off a v)

Will possibly cost around £40 but it depends on where you are.

Oh and it is rather painful to have a v burned.

By the way My DH is a Chiropodist so I do know a bit about this!
