Looking for advice. I’m 33 and usually in good health.
For the past week I have been feeling absolutely exhausted - I have never felt so tired in my life.
I feel really nauseous and a little dizzy. I’m eating a lot less as a result and can barely finish my meals because i feel more and more queasy as I eat.
I am a little bloated and have stomach cramps.
These symptoms are 24/7, they never go away.

It came on really suddenly last week while at my mums. One minute I was fine, the next I turned to my husband and said “oh my god, I feel so ill… I’m exhausted” and I had stomach cramps.

I went for blood tests yesterday and urine. I’m not pregnant and no sign of a UTI. Blood pressure was low but the doctor dismissed it as not important.
I’ve been trying not to worry, but I have never felt like this before in my life. The tiredness and nausea is unreal. I just feel so wrong and I can’t shake this feeling of dread - something feels really wrong.
Has anyone ever had anything like this before?
I need to wait for results of blood tests but if everything comes back clear what could it be?

Are you 100%sure you're not pregnant?

niceupthedanceagain · 31/07/2021 16:29

Covid?

1creativemama · 31/07/2021 16:33

@spookycookies 100% I’ve had my period but nurse checked at my appointment just in case and it was negative.

@niceupthedanceagain No not covid, also taken a test and it’s negative.

Coeliac? Appendicitis? Crohn's? Viral infection?

1creativemama · 31/07/2021 18:39

@dizzydizzydizzy
Thank you for the suggestions. I’ve been gluten free for years so don’t think this is coeliac related. I’m not in severe pain with stomach ache like I would expect from appendicitis. I don’t think my symptoms fit with those of crohns.
The only way I can describe it is it feels pretty much exactly like pregnancy.
But we have been careful, we use condoms, no known accidents, I’ve had my period and these symptoms started a week after my period (approx). Doctors pregnancy test was negative.
Which makes me think it is something more hormonal or something in that sort of area (because it’s mimicking pregnancy symptoms) than viral - symptoms haven’t eased at all either like I would usually have with a viral infection.
Also getting dull pains every now and again in my ovaries- but only occasionally and not severe pains - but this also makes me think it may be hormonal or ovary / reproductive organ related.
It may be related to fatigue but I’m also very achy - mainly in my back and shoulders - I’m not sure if that’s relevant.

I don’t usually get ill. I’m not a sickly person and when I do get ill I’m usually over it in a couple of days - this is just really unusual for me.

Sorry for the long rambling message, I’m just a bit worried. 😞

I felt like this a couple of days after I had my vaccine. Have you had the vaccine?

TheVolturi · 31/07/2021 20:39

Gallstones?

1creativemama · 31/07/2021 20:47

@DanceTheNightAwayy I have had the vaccine but I had it a couple of months ago now and had no symptoms after it.

@thevolturi Just googled gallstones but I don’t have the symptoms of gallstones

Thank you for the suggestions though ladies I appreciate it. Just desperate for answers atm.

Ibs?

1creativemama · 31/07/2021 20:58

@TheVolturi Hmmm, it could be 🤔 However, I got ‘diagnosed’ with IBS years ago so now on a gluten-free diet. Have had no symptoms since.
However when I had IBS I had stomach ache and diarrhoea. So I don’t think it’s the same as it’s different symptoms.
Also doesn’t explain the absolute crippling fatigue and nausea & lightheaded/dizziness 😞

I think it may well be ibs op, you can get nausea, and I don't think you have to have diarrhoea, just cramps?

LtGreggs · 31/07/2021 21:07

Check again for pregnancy.

I wonder if something like an ovarian cyst could make you feel like that??

Kittii · 31/07/2021 21:09

Could it be labrynthitis? I felt really fatigued, nauseous and dizzy when I had this. It also came on really suddenly.

PurplePumpkinDream · 31/07/2021 22:45

@1creativemama If all blood tests fine I would say viral.

HappyThursdays · 01/08/2021 09:49

How low was your blood pressure?

We have low bp running in our family and it can make you feel how you are feeling if you're not used to it

HappyThursdays · 01/08/2021 09:55

Also could you have had or have ovarian cysts? Those can also be horrible

cherrytree63 · 01/08/2021 10:04

Similar to my symptoms of diverticular disease, I was investigated for ovarian cysts as the pain is similar, and was worse a few days before my period.
Hope you feel better soon.

cherrytree63 · 01/08/2021 10:06

Just to add, when I did have ovarian cysts I had no symptoms, they were picked up on a scan for something else.

DonLewis · 01/08/2021 10:07

I was convinced I was pregnant in February when I felt exactly like this. My husband has had a vasectomy!

Turned out I was extremely vitamin d deficient. I couldn't believe it, because it felt just like those early stages of pregnancy, the sickness, tiredness, all of it!

RightYesButNo · 01/08/2021 10:29

Started a week after your period? Anemia and vitamin B12 deficiency (pernicious enemy) both cause “weakness, fatigue, and lightheadedness” as well as some other symptoms you mentioned. Hopefully they’ll have tested for them both on your blood tests, but if they tell you that your blood is normal, don’t assume they’ve tested for it; check your results yourself.

Fustyoldface · 01/08/2021 21:55

Are sure you haven’t been glutened? Are you coeliac? This is how I feel when I eat it by mistake as a coeliac.

Queenoftheworld101 · 24/01/2022 12:51

Look up POTS, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome....low bp, nausea, dizzy, fatigue are the symptoms of it.

HeyBlaby · 24/01/2022 12:55

Your blood results will hopefully provide some clarity, sometimes it's literally just a virus though and nothing is found (have been here myself) You're right to be pursuing it though.

Hi, I know I'm late to this thread, but did you ever get to the bottom of the problem OP?
