Rectocele/Cystocele at 24!

I've NC for this for obvious reasons Blush

I'm getting quite worried and embarrassed. I'm pretty sure I have a rectocele and a cystocele. In 2019 I noticed I was quite constipated and I could feel a 'buldge' at the entrance to my vagina, this is totally TMI but... I had to push that buldge down in order to help me release my bowels. Blush I googled it of course and thought it looked like a mild rectocele, but it was only bothersome every now and then so I left it.

Went through a pregnancy and obviously had numerous vaginal exams/sweeps etc but nothing was ever said about it and to be honest I'd forgotten about it. I had my first smear a couple of months ago and nothing was mentioned there either.

Fast forward to now and I'm starting to feel much more pressure at the entrance again, from the top also (although I think I've always had this but it's gotten much larger and heavier recently). To reach my cervix it feels as though I have to 'push' things out of the way? And DH has mentioned it feels too tight sometimes where it's painful for him during sex. Sad

We were planning on TTC soon and now I'm really worried if it is a prolapse (especially of the bladder/uterus I'm not sure which) then I need to get this taken care of before putting my body through another pregnancy.

I'm so embarrassed about it as I'm only 24, I keep reassuring myself it can't be that bad if multiple health care professionals have been down there and not said a thing but I know it doesn't look right.

Has anyone else been through this or have any advice at all? Sad

Hi OP, I have a rectocele following the birth of DD2. I've been prescribed an exercise program to follow. Mine feels like a misplaced tampon (TMI!) and I have a few bowel symptoms alongside it. I'm 35, but I think when it comes to childbirth prolapses don't discriminate! If you can afford it, I'd highly recommend seeing a private women's physio, even if it's just for a one off session. The advice they give is really useful, and it's a good starting point for pursuing further treatment. My physio plan was done under the NHS (long wait though) but it was so useful having been to the private physio. She also taught me how to do pelvic floor exercises properly, as I had been doing them
wrong all along. I sympathise heavily with you. I absolutely hate it and wish it would go away!

Completely agree with the PP to see a physio. I have one following the birth of DD2. Unfortunately, unless it's very severe they're not going to do anything until you're done having children as birth could make it worse. The only other advice I can give is do everything you can to avoid constipation during pregnancy and after birth

Thanks you both for responding. I've managed to speak to a doctor this morning via telephone appointment and she's booked me in to see her for an examination on the 12th of August.
I'm so annoyed with myself as I forgot to mention my main concern regarding TTC, my fertile window starts tomorrow and we were excited to try and now I don't know whether I should wait or not... do you have any advice or experience? I've also read about them not wanting to do much intervention until you're done having children which obviously I'm not Sad
