Is this because of immunisations?

My nearly 9 week old DS had his first jabs two days ago. He was unsettled the evening of the jabs as expected but today he seems rather unwell. The morning after the jabs he had Diarrhea and he also had Diarrhea first thing this morning too. My concern is that he has been screaming on and off for the last 90 minutes. Could this be linked to the immunisations? Should we just see how he does today - I don't like to rush him anywhere to get checked out if it's unnecessary.

Any help appreciated.

I would take him and get him checked. Vaccines can cause quite serious reactions. They are rare but it does happen. Usually a child will be fussy, maybe a temp but because of the more adverse effects I would always go get a child checked out. And don't let docs fob you off with calpol.
A high pitched persistant cry could be a sign of encephalitis. I don't want to be alrming here because it is liekly to be nothing but that one is always on my mind.

I would call NHS Direct - they'll let you know if this is normal.

Hope he's feeling better soon x

His screaming is normal so that's OK. He's just finally calmed and we've got him off to sleep so we'll see how he is after his nap.

I rang NHS direct and they had a recorded message saying that they were too busy at the moment and to hang up unless it was extremely urgent/emergency!!

Rang GP out of hours an hour ago, still waiting for a doctor to ring back - bl**dy NHS.

He's still crying, which he rarely does and has been since 5am.
