Pyogenic granuloma - on finger

Wondering if anyone has any experience with a Pyogenic granuloma on their finger print.

I simply cannot get it to heal. It is so painful and bleeds very very heavily if knocked slightly.

I have tried all at home remedies and I will admit I feel abit daft going to the Drs over something so small.

I have tried keeping it covered, leaving it to air out, silver nitrate, a topical cream. Nothing so far has worked.

It's always worth checking and keeping track of.

Go to the GP. I had one of these for years on my thumb, it suddenly developed an offshoot that grew a lot faster and bled all the time (it's hard to avoid knocking it when it is on your finger!). My GP has a minor surgery clinic but I got mine removed by dermatology at the hospital.

I went to a minor injuries clinic in the hope of getting it dressed properly, thinking it was some kind of wart. It was a nurse there who said it needed removing and contacted the GP. Looking back, I wonder why I waited so long but the original lump was fine! Honestly, contact the GP if it's bleeding Flowers

If it's causing you issues with repeatedly getting knocked and bleeding then the GP can remove it and they will also send it for histology. I had one on my scalp that got knocked and bled when I brushed my hair and the GP did just that.

I had one on my thumb at the base. A dermatologist removed it under a local anaesthetic. I had it done privately. It was very ugly like a red wet wart and bled easily. I would have had to wait quite a long time on the NHS.
