Do they only give oxygen in intensive care?

My husband is currently in hospital but he isn’t sure where in the hospital he currently is. He isn’t sure what they are planning on doing or how long they are planning on keeping him in.

All he knows is that he was brought in by ambulance and is in a bed and is currently on oxygen.

I am just trying to figure out where he may be and all my results keep pointing to intensive care, however I’m not sure if it’s just Google giving worst case scenarios.

Yes, I know, sorry I didn't go into full details.
I was just wondering about patients not being transferred at all atm.
I've been transferred from A&E to ICU so I'm speaking from experience.
Obviously all hospitals are different, and all cases are different, they are generally good with me now as I have a diagnosis and my Consultant of many years has a ward there.

Just to echo others though, you can get portable O2 so paramedics can give you it, and our hospital will get you a portable tank so you can go for a walk off the ward, pre Covid of course.
Dd and I have wee gym bags to go on our back for the tank to go in.
