It looks like an allergic reaction, I'd take some antihistamine and keep an eye on it.

Rub antihistamine cream on it and take Piriton ,keep a close eye on it.

I get bites like this regularly. Is it insanely itchy? I think mine are harvest mite bites from long grass when walking the dog in a particular field - since avoiding it I haven’t had one.

Just to keep an eye out for any increase in size or excessive swelling or temperature. I bought the cream he recommended and it really helped (I'm at work so can't remember what it was called!)

Could it be a horsefly? They're vicious - I went to the out of hours docs with one a couple of years ago because I thought it looked like I'd had some sort of horrible allergic reaction, but he was fairly laid back about it because apparently that's just a standard horsefly bite. (I knew that's what it was because I saw it. They're big - like enormous bluebottles, but yellowish. Bastards.)

There are similarities to the classic bullseye tick bite rash.

I would try your pharmacist in the first instance or do oyu have a walk-in nearby?

If it's a tick you need to get it treated ASAP- both my parents had Lyme disease from tick bites walking near deer.

I also think it looks like a tick bite. You may need a blood test (for Lyme's disease) and antibiotics. Please see your GP, OP!
