So I had my wisdom tooth taken out this morning. It says no spicy food to be eaten for 72 hours.

I'm mixed Jamaican and Asian my daily food involves spices but nothing I would class as spicy myself. I have curry chicken premade again it's not spicy for me would I not be able to eat that for dinner ?

Whatever you do don’t eat it with rice….

I would take it as anything with chilli because it could aggravate an open wound, even if it's at much milder levels than you normally eat.

I think when I had my wisdom teeth out I just ate bland, soft things until the wounds started to heal. I was in quite a bit of pain though, so probably didn't have much of an appetite.

I'm with @SatNightFever! I ate rice after an extraction, huge mistake. It's the one bit of advice I always give people now.

I had a couple taken out 3 weeks ago. I had smoothies and yoghurt for the first few days. One of the things you need to be really careful of is knocking the clot out and getting dry socket so rough food might be an issue.

That's more likely to be an issue on a bottom tooth than a top one. I moved onto more solid food around day 3 and ended up spitting out the clot when I was rinsing my mouth so I now have a massive big hole in my gum and can see the bone. Don't know if it matters but hat tooth was almost fully impacted so getting it out was a much bigger job.
