Is there any potential for harm? Other than terrible breath .

I think only one pellet went in.

DD2 has done this in the past & lived to tell the tale. She saw me picking mushrooms & thought sheep muck was the same thing. If it is any consolation, she has the constitution of an ox,which I put down to all the unsuitable things she has ingested over the years.

ROFL - she'll be fine. Mine ate a cat furrball before I could stop her. She spat most of it out because she was giggling at her mum for jumping up and down yelling 'gaaaah'.

lulumama · 19/11/2007 19:44

oh dear

sheep only eat grass, so it is not soo bad

my DD has eaten:

newspaper and serviettes, never shiny paper

dog food, wet and dry

and took a dog treat out of the dog's mouth and ate it! i was rooted to the spot with horror !

drinks gallons of bath water

once ate half a bowl of pasta out of the bin at my friends house

and lots more i have blocked out!

she is alive and kicking and has a shit hot immune system, has avoided chickne pox a gazillion times, despite my friend's little boy kissing her and oozing all over her

stripeymama · 19/11/2007 19:45

Nah he'll be fine

Old proverb (I think Chinese) - 'A child who has not eaten his own weight in dirt by the age of two will not be a healthy adult'

Once caught my 20mo dd and her friend eating their own poo (never found out which one's it was!) - serving it up on tea party plates no less.

whomovedmychocolate · 19/11/2007 19:49

Oh yes and DD hides raisins in her nappy and then eats them surreptitiously later. Mostly they are undigested at the time

Seriously, I think kids have a special talent for eating stuff they shouldn't. I caught DD trying to eat the cotton wool balls a few weeks back

BroccoliSpears · 19/11/2007 20:01

Good for the immune system.

Peck of dirt, and all that.

I found mine sharing a Bonio with the dog last week. She'd have a suck, the dog would have a suck, she'd have another... shudder.
