Ill every day - at breaking point

I cannot do this anymore.

I recently had a weak positive tissue transglutimase blood test which indicates I am coeliac. I have a very strong family history.

I also have to keep eating gluten until I have an endoscopy which is PROBABLY THREE MONTHS AWAY.

Every single day I feel sick. I have joint pain. My clothes hurt against my skin. I’m overwhelming tired and feel nauseous and lightheaded with it. I’ve just thrown up and I can’t cope with it anymore. It’s been like this for months; that’s why I got my (third) coeliac test. I just feel so fucking unwell and it’s absolutely impossible on top of my job, frankly.

I don’t know what to do 😭

Phone them to chase up every single day, make a pain of yourself. It's the only way. My dh was poring with blood Valentine's weekend (faecal), lost 2 stones in a couple weeks, they were pretty dismissive. Got a colonoscopy by early March by chasing like hell.

It's tough, i've been unwell for months and don't have it in me to push like he did unfortunately.

Thank you. We are going private now, I think - even though it’s an urgent referral on the nhs, there are no appointments anywhere for an endoscopy.
I’m a teacher and in my NQT year, so I am just permanently exhausted and I don’t know how much more I can take.

I hope your DH was ok? That sounds like far far FAR worse than what I am dealing with, I have no idea how he manages to have the energy to chase!!

The way things are currently, stop eating gluten. Give it a really good go for a month and see if you feel better. Then make a decision whether you want to bother with an endoscopy (some places a positive blood test is enough) and would go back on gluten for that, whenever they might start doing them again
