Numbness -legs. Can't get GP appointment

I'm hoping someone can help me.

Back in December, I developed what looked like chilblains on several of my toes. They were very red/purple, painful, itching, burning, blistered and numb and took weeks (probably about 6) to heal. I only ever had chilblains once as a child.

Since around this time, I've have increasing pins and needles/numbness and tingling in my feet which has travelled up my lower legs. I'm not sure how/if the chilblains started this but it seems it started around this time. I've also had it in my fingers and on occasion arm. It seems to be getting worse.

I have tried and tried to get a GP appointment, ringing for days on end but the surgery will not pick up and on the rare occasion they do, they any they don't have any appointments (even for 3 weeks in advance) or they tell me to ring back another time so it just goes around in circles. Reviews on the surgery tell me everyone else is experiencing the same. I have lists and lists of all the times I've called and am not exaggerating. I''ve also been trying to get my daughter one for months.

So I thought I'd try an online GP privately which I did and he wrote notes that should go through to my GP and said I needed blood tests but now I'm stuck because I simply can't afford to do this privately.

I really don't know where to turn or what to do. I'm also exhausted and crashing everyday by lunchtime. Trying to keep working with the 3 kids as well and I'm going to break soon.

Numbness is urgent, I agree, I developed sudden numbness a few years ago, urgent referral to Neurologist, I was diagnosed initially with Transverse Myelitis and after a second attack, MS,, not wanting to alarm you but it needs investigation, symptoms like this cannot be ignored. I was fortunate to be able to access Neurology privately, waiting lists are lengthy, in my county. I hope you get some answers & feel better soon.

Tiffany, they can't offer even three weeks in advance as they are booked up. I would take it gladly if they would.
Thank you Roselilly. Last year, I had one weird episode of something I remember. I felt awful quite suddenly with palpitations, racing hb, high BP (not usual for me as mine is low) and high temp. They though I might have had a PE and my d dimer was high but nothing was found on scan. In the waiting room though ( a few hours) I had shaking and trembling in my leg. Like jerking movements and my speech/movements were really slow. It was really weird and still don't know why d dimer was high without having a clot. Anyway, that resolved and I still don't know what happened. I kind of wonder if it was related in some way.
I'll try again today and will call 111 to see if they can offer advice.

I also have numbness but only in one thigh, and caused I suspect by whatever is causing my severe and persistent bloating, nausea and abdominal pain pressing into my back. I can’t get in to be seen by a GP either.

I hate E-consult with a vengeance. Why anybody thinks it’s a good idea to make us fill in 14 pages of symptoms, medical history, surgical history and family history, only to end the “consultation” and wipe all that information when the answers are other than routine, is beyond me. My practice has disabled the MyGP app, emails bounce back undelivered, and the telephone recorded message just points you in the manner of an Orwellian nightmare back to the blasted online form.

Lark, sorry you are in a similar situation. I'm in Wales so it is not available here anyway. I hope you also get seen soon. It sounds as if yoi are in a lot of pain and the stress of not being able to see soneone makes it all a whole lot worse, I bet.
