Spaced out and dazed

Hello,

I’m feeling really weird lately, I’d say the last two weeks I’m completely spaced out.

When I’m talking to people I’m really having to focus on them and what they are saying.

My head just feels really fuzzy and like I’m not really here at all. My eyes feel heavy and that I’m just really vacant. Finding it really hard to focus at work (teaching)

Almost like I’m out of body. Drowsy and dazed.

I’m getting enough sleep ect. So I’m unsure if it’s anything to do with that.

Anyone got any ideas what it could be or anyone experienced anything the same?

I’d call a doctor but wanted to just see if anyone here has an idea of what it sounds like.,

I feel the same and I'm in the same job. I've taken a COVID PCR this morning as a precaution. 1/2 of my school is already at home self isolating, and symptoms have been really varied.
I've been asleep for most of the weekend.

@fingersdoublecrossed

It’s so strange. I’ve had both jabs, second one was last week. I’m tested weekly with lateral flow each time negative.

It’s such a bizarre feeling

@LibbyL92 I've had one jab and I've already had COVID but school have asked me to rule it out.
My main symptom when I was positive was extreme fatigue and I feel exactly the same now.
Could just be the fact that it's been a tough term!

@fingersdoublecrossed
I wonder what it could be. Probably is due to the fact we’re all exhausted.

I guess that’s how is describe it though, fatigue.

God roll on half term!

I get this too OP. I take online classes of adult students and it's really embarrassing as it will suddenly come on and it take me a short while to 'come around' again iyswim? I don't know what it is. Like you, it happens sometimes when talking to people in RL. I've had this for a few years though so defo nothing Covid related for me.

I get this ,it's horrible .How dreadful to have to teach at the same time !

AFAIK mine is related to long term effects after stomach surgery which has shortened my digestive system .It seems that food/liquids sometimes travel too quickly resulting in an electrolyte inbalance .

I wonder if dehydration is a factor for you teachers - goodness knows how you attend to basic things like going to the loo and drinking in your job .

I carry glucose tablets and a couple of those can help ,but I'm afraid that it can be variable with me .

I get this but mine is migraine related and also linked in a lesser way to my fibromyalgia

I get silent migraines so only time I know about it is feeling spaced out, can’t focus on conversations, get very panicky about movement and noise etc

Can last between 2-5 days and only real way of dealing with it is sleep and rest. I’ve learnt now to just give in and if I’m at work to go home

Definitely worth you getting checked out x

Is anyone else still feeling this now? Or found any tips on how to feel normal again!?
