Depends on the GP & the reason for the repeat tbh.
I see some notes that just say ‘rpt test’
Others that say ‘slightly out of range, rpt test in 4 weeks’ - or whatever.

Thank you. The text said “you have been advised to repeat blood tests in a couple of weeks. When I spoke to the receptionist she said it just said about repeating the test with no reason why.

Like pp it could be bc something was slightly out of range.

I just find it odd how when I called they didn’t mention the two week time frame but the text said two weeks

How many times have you posted this now?

What is the test for? If its a day 21 for hormones, it might be to get a result in a different part of your cycle.

If its related to an illness, maybe something came up out of range, and they hope its resolved/improved in 2 weeks time.

Generally, a repeat is needed for a slightly out of range result. If it was worrying or dangerously out of range, they'd normally repeat it sooner. My grandfather needed a repeat when the blood vial (glass then) was dropped and smashed!

You should be able to get a phone consult with either a GP or nurse at the practice, to advise why it needs repeating.
