Would you speak to GP?

For a few months now I've been experiencing a feeling of wanting to cough, mainly when breathing out. Sometimes I do cough, but it is so pathetic I couldn't class it as a cough. I also feel a bit of tightness in my chest sometimes. I'm 53 female. I'm not sure if it's worth bothering GP? Anyone else experienced anything similar?

Hi. Yes, I would speak to my GP about anything that had been bothering me for a few months.

Don't look at it as a bother, btw - that is what they are there for.

Yes 100% speak to them.
The only time you’d bother a GP is if you went there for your teeth Wink

Is it intermittent @drumandthebass? I’ve been experiencing similar, for about 3 months now. Comes and goes. Some days it’s more noticeable than others. Found it was worse during the very cold snap we had and more noticeable when I shower and the room steams up. Wondering whether it could be adult onset asthma or something? 🤔 I will speak to my GP about it at some point and so should you 🙂 I’ve got 3 risk factors for asthma that make me concerned...

Thanks for replying everyone. I have noticed that it's worse when I've emptied the log burner for Instance, as if the dust is getting on my chest. I had consider asthma but wasn't sure if getting later in life was a thing. Thanks everyone I will call dr on Tuesday
