ds2 ,7 ,has a very painful wobbly tooth at the moment. It has been quite tender but then when eating his tea tonight he bit on something and said that he heard a cracking noise and since then it has been really painful. It does look a little bruised on the gum,is this normal or should I ring the dentist?I have givrn him some childrens neurofen for the pain but it is still very sore.

I remember mine hurt a lot when they were coming out as a child. Would it work to ring the dentist office and ask?

Dd2, 8, has had a painful tooth for a couple of days and now it's very wobbly.

My mother says I always complained of tooth ache when I was getting a new tooth, right the way through childhood. Maybe the new tooth in the gum is the problem. I am sure the dentist would fit you in, if you rang up. My dentist saw ds2 when he fell, hit a rock and knocked one of his teeth sideways a bit.

well the tooth came out in bed last night and that seems to have solved the problem! Thanks to all of you for responding
