Constipation and laxatives

Hello

Wondering if anyone could advise me for my 5 year old.
He has been constipated for 10 days, so I started him on laxido and increased to 8 a day to try and budge it, all that has passed is what I can describe as thick dirrahea with small bits of poo.
It's constant he's been changed over 20 times today! I took him back to the GP today who felt a golf ball type mass/lump in his stomach and has referred for a ultrasound she then put him on a glycerin suppository. He had one this evening and I don't think it's worked as it's meant to be a hour and it's been two and still nothing apart from the thick dirrahea.

Does anyone have any advice please? I've looked online and it says to stop taking the laxido until the dirrahea has stopped and then restart but how will that pass the poo? I'm at my wits ends with it all, he's not in pain or anything he's fine within himself but I know it's stuck.

Just to add he's been passing wind so I know he's not impacted. Thank you for anyone who helps and sorry for the to much information. I'm panicking a lot. 😂

Bumping your post a little, didn't want to read and run.

All I can suggest is still working with your GP and wait on the ultrasound.

Hoping that someone with more experience will come along.

I am suffering terribly with constipation, have you tried a tummy massage for him? If it’s not painful of course. It’s basically like you massage from the left to the right and then downwards slightly, if you picture how a bowel looks and massage gently along like that. Have a look on google! X
