Possible seizure?

So Friday night I was having a couple of glasses of alcohol, bare in mind i only drink once every 6 months or so. I'd had about 3 weak glasses, so not drunk or tipsy, when suddenly I blacked out. Don't remember anything but my friend who was there said I fell onto the table (was luckily sitting at a dining table on a chair) and starting shaking, vomiting and my eyes rolled back. I came around 2 minutes later sweating and confused, I knew where I was but just confused why people were asking if I was okay.
Ambulance was rang, blood sugars, BP and ecg all fine although pupils were large. Got some bloods done at hospital although discharged myself as I was still vomiting and felt wiped out and just wanted my bed.

I have no family history of seizures and never experienced one before and I'm 29 now, anyone have any experience of this?
What will happen next when I follow up with GP?

Your actions speak louder than your words.

You could have stayed in hospital, waited for the results and they could have referred you to to a neurologist from there.

Please don't tell me you drive.

Well it could have been anything and as you didn't stay at the hospital then they probably didn't complete all the tests you needed to try to find out. I suggest an urgent gp appointment.

You will likely be referred back to the hospital, although tests may take longer to arrange than had you stayed.

With your pupils being large, is there any chance that anything was put into your drink ?
I would contact the GP tomorrow and go from there.

I was absolutely wiped out, the thought of staying for another 2-3 hours to see the doctor felt like torture I just wanted to lie down and they didn't seem concerned so felt it was best to see the GP

Couldn't have been anything in my drink, only me and my friend and I poured my own.

I don't drive and wouldn't even if I did. I'm taking precautions such as not bathing my children alone etc.

Sorry this happened @Lankyboxmum. You wouldn't see a neurologist straight from A&E, I'm epileptic and they just aren't set up with how to deal with seizures at A&E unless it's a medical emergency.

So feel reassured you haven't done anything 'wrong' by discharging yourself. Go and see your GP and get a referral to a neurologist who will be able to help. Take it easy, you are doing the right thing by not bathing your children alone.

Other things you can do are to make sure you cross roads at a crossing, leave the door unlocked when you have a bath and wear a medical band to let people know. Sending you

@tinsel thank you for understanding. How long after your first seizure did you have your second? I know it's so different for everybody, I think the worst part is not knowing if it's a one off or if this going to happen again

Another epileptic here. As previous poster said A&E aren't very good at dealing with seizures. They will look for any immediate cause but that's it really.

Speak to your gp and go from there. Try not to stress. Do all the usual safety things like previous poster said. Sometimes these things are literally a one off.

Don't feel bad for discharging yourself from hospital. If you have had a seizure you won't of been thinking straight anyway and would of been exhausted. I've tried to walk out when I've been taken to hospital. Luckily I had family to keep me there till I was truly well enough to leave.

While I agree that a&e aren't set up to deal with epileptic seizures; this may have been something else. Seizure, confusion and even the nausea can be signs of stroke/tia.
