I was diagnosed with this 3 years ago, immediately joined slimming world and lost 2 stone. Have put a stone back on over the past 18 mths mostly due to constant nausea, even waking up feeling sick, sometimes vomiting. The only way to keep the nausea under control is eating, usually crackers, even during the night. I could wake three times feeling lousy until I eat something. Is this due to the NAFL? Or could it be something else? Not getting much from google, but GP hasn’t been helpful.

My DBIL has the same condition but not the same symptoms.

Could the nausea be caused by something else?

Pregnancy possibly....

Sorry!!

Thanks way way past the pregnancy stage😂. GP keeps saying lose weight but I have and it didn’t make a difference, I’m not majorly overweight anyway I’d have thought,, BMI 27.

My DBIL does a walk every lunchtime at work and one with the DDog in the evening to help rude his weight.

Could you up your exercise a little to try and shift that stone?

I have this condition too op. Not these symptoms though. Sounds like it might be something else not related to the fatty liver?

eosmum · 28/03/2021 15:02

@BunnyRuddington I walk dogs twice per day, walk with my DH 3 days, run 3 days. I just can’t fit anything else in, elderly parent, full time job and child with additional needs. I feel like I’m constantly going but not exercising.

@Purplecatshopaholic thanks I feel it’s something else to, but it seems once I have extra weight nothing else will be checked.

Did you ever get a diagnosis on this OP? I found your thread as diagnosed with mild fatty liver today. My consultant said that most overweight people have it and have no symptoms, he didn’t mention anything like the sort of thing you describe. I think the fatty liver may be a red herring for you. Perhaps you have a reflux issue? That can cause nausea, especially at night.

CA125 test? Unspecified bloating or nausea should always be investigated.
