pea sized lumps in neck

My DD has these, especially one on the left side. It sticks out like a little pea, all the time.

It has been there for the past 2-3 years at least!!

I have told various GP's, health visitors etc and they all just say to keep an eye on it.

Eye on it for what? It doesn't change, it just sticks out!

Anyone else see this in their DC's?

mummyblueyes - my DS3 had these a few years ago when he was about 7 or 8. The Dr monitored some in his neck after giving a/biotics but they didn't go. Dr then did a full exam and found them in his groin and under his arms. He sent us straight off to the hospital - frightened me to death - for blood tests. Receptionist rang me the same day to say the results were clear. The Dr referred him to a paediatrician - more to reassure me than anything else. All was fine and I think he still has them (now 14 yo). I'm sure your Dr would have sent your DD for tests if they had been concerned. I now know just how common this is so try not to worry

My ds 14 mo. has these in the back of his neck, have shown to different GP each time he sees them about something, none of them seem at all concerned, say it's swollen lymph nodes and to bring him in if they grow or change or any more spring up elsewhere. He is otherwise very healthy so I just keep an eye on them and mention it each time just to make sure it's on his notes that they're there long term. Dp is more worried than I am so may insist we get a blood test at some point but the longer they're there and the same size and nothing else happens, the less concerned I am. Drs said it is very common.

Ah thank you. I am sure the doc would have looked worried if it was something to be worried out but I just wondered if anyone else had them.

It was a paediatric doctor we saw. Not a hospital specialist but a paediatric GP so I am sure he must be used to this.

Thanks for the reassurance!
