Presents for chemo patient?

Hi,
My mil is going through chemo for breast cancer. I want to send her something for each dose, and I wondered if anyone knows what would make a good present? She's all set up with wigs/ hats etc. Apparently it dries your skin so I was thinking moisturisers, also pyjamas, DVDs, stuff like that. Bit short on cash, so sadly it can't be too grand...Any ideas? Thanks!

Evening primrose oil moisturiser would be good, as well as anything with vitamin E.

mpiosterisers, pj's as you said. maybe front opening pj's for lines in etc.

what about seeing if the hospital has beauty therepists on call and book soemthing through them as well, like a mnaicure etc?

some sweets to suck as chemo can make your mouth feel funny/sore.
things to pass the time, mags puzzle books.

Bach Flower Remedies - do a google. They work on the emotions and will help her to cope. White Chestnut might be good - helps prevent unwanted thoughts, mimulus - for known fears, rock rose - for terror, there are lots so best to check them out for yourself. They will not affect her chemo at all.

Also a lot of chemo patients benefit greatly from reflexology - just make sure the reflexologist is very experienced and preferably has experience of this area.

It may be an odd present, but an aloe vera plant might be a good thing for the skin. I am taking one over to someone I know who has started chemo...

Vitamin E is also very good for skin.

When my mum was having her chemo, she also had some acupuncture, which helped her to maintain her energy levels. Don't know how your MIL might feel about this?

A couple of decent books/magazines for when she is waiting around at the hospital?

A nice scarf my SIL complained how cold she was after losing her hair and she said he shoulders and back of the neck were the worst.

Maybe an online shop of a couple of nice readymeals so if she feels like something it will be ready before she loses her appetite IYKWIM.
