periods have become more and more irregular, ie 10, 11 weeks in between. i have been getting daily migraines (which for me are a hormonal thing eg get them like this in early pregnancy and ovulation), bloated fat tummy, feeling sick and odd all the time. she first said that early menopause is not that uncommon at my age (32 fgs!) and has done some bloods to test my hormone levels. then she felt my tummy and said it was very 'lumpy' and it felt very tender when she was doing it and so she suggested it could all be due to fibroids. so she is sending me for an ultrasound which will prob take weeks to come through. when i then asked her about treatment she mentioned surgery to cut them out, lasering them out or hysterectomy. .
i am now worried about it as my auntie had fibroids and one ended up the size of a grapefuit and as a result she had to have a hysterectomy.
i know i am really jumping the gun but i cant help worrying about it now although if i had to go down that route it wouldnt be the end of the world as i now have all my babies and dont want any more.
but just feeling a bit anxious and sad and wanted to know if anyone else has experience of this.

by the way, i had a fibroid when i was pg with ds2 but as he grew it seemed to get reabsorbed and disappeared, but i had no strange symptoms then.

cant help thinking that i'm not even ovulating and the bleeding isnt even a 'proper' period iyswim.

oh dear - try not to think of the worst case scenario. Hopefully, if there are fibroids there, they can do something else to get rid of them. I'm sure a hysterectomy would be the last thing on their list of things to do.

I get those hormonal migraines. What do you take for them because I haven't found anything that works and I'm currently at the tail end of one that's gone on for almost a week (grrr - arrived with period)?

Hello - afraid I cant be of much help on this, just didnt want you to feel alone. At least (if its any help) the doctors are onto it and will tae the best course of action for you and your situation. It seesm you are fairly happy that your famiy is complete so guess the positive side of this is that your dcs will have a happy healthy mummy to look after them as they grow up, rather than one who is going to be in pain and a bit unpredictable! Know my mum had a hyster for pre-cancerous cells fairly young and after the initial yukky bits was glad it had been done and knew it was the right thing. N sure this helps much, but sure someone will be along soonish who can help more! Thinking of you, horses x
