Deviated septum and allergic rhinitis

Hello all!

Looking for some advise on similar situations.

I’ve basically got allergic rhinitis, which makes me sound like I have a cold and I can’t really breathe through my nose. I’m definitely a mouth breather.

On top of that I have a slight deviated nose. No ones ever picked up on it, just someone years ago, but not in a nasty way.

I was referred to the ENT doctor around 3 years ago for the allergic rhinitis where the allergic rhinitis was ‘diagnosed’ and he also commented on the deviation. He said surgery could help if they straighten it.

I’ve since become incredibly self conscious of my nose. More so the deviation. And I’m considering going back to the ENT to take the plunge to correct the shape of the nose.

I’m just wondering if anyone on here has had their nose deviation corrected? If so, how was it? Did it make a different if you did have allergies in the nose?

Recovery time? Ect?
