I've had recurrent infections and a suspected stone in the past, so I'm familiar with this - I had a sudden deep twinge in the area of my right kidney at 9am (I purposely clocked it when I felt it), and the pain was initially a sharp twinge at 30-60 second intervals. Always in the same spot, I'd rate it at about a 3. 3 and half hours later, it's up to a 4 and now at 15 second intervals.
That escalation seems pretty minor to me, and when I had a "probable" stone years and years ago the pain was front/loin and very much worse at a 7/8. I'm in no hurry to start making appointments, I don't feel unwell and don't have a fever so I think it's probably nothing much - a one-off maybe? The only thing I noticed overnight was rather frequent urination (I got up 3 times, it's usually once) despite not drinking more than usual, but all normal pee and not painful.
What does the MN medical jury think - wait and see with the very slim possibility of ending up an emergency at the weekend or speak to a doc in the next 24 hrs?
I feel a bit sicky but I think it's psychological.
