Does anyone with Dental Health experience have any idea what this could be?

I have noticed for a while that when I help DD2 (5.8) clean her teeth her gums bleed alot from the top of the front two teeth.

I don't know how to explain this but, the gums SEEMS to recede slights and there seems to be ridge at the top of the tooth where the blood comes from.

DD2 went to see the dentist last week and he said everything was fine, but, I can't help but be concerned.

Bleeding gums are usually caused by a build up of plaque. In adults it's a perio problem and due to the teeth not being cleaned thoroughly enough. A good scaling and regular, thorough cleaning usually sorts it out.

When you are brushing your little ones teeth try to brush the gums as well as the enamel. Use a circular action and make sure you brush for at least 2 minutes.

My dd had a little battery operated toothbrush with an oscilliating head which makes cleaning easier.

I'm sorry to disagree with your dentist but, bleeding gums are never nothing to worry about. Don't let the bleeding put you off cleaning though. If it is a plaque problem then need cleaning more than ever.

Are they her baby teeth? If they are perhaps they are getting ready to fall out? I know that once dds teeth start wobbling they can bleed a bit on occasions.

Shes had one tooth wobbly since before Easter. Wish she would just pull the blasted thing out!

DD had this and it was plaque. Regular careful brushing sorted it out.
