@Sa2010 - the ones I took don't appear to be available anymore, but there are similar products currently in stock on the Boots and Holland & Barrett websites. My ones had 400mg of ginger per tablet, and were marketed as a travel sickness remedy. I used to buy ginger root too, just from the supermarket, and make 'tea' with a few slices.

With the dizziness when you're lying in bed, it can help to think of something outside that's solid and still, like a tree trunk or a garden bench, and then think of your head being tied to it with a long invisible thread. That sounds completely mad, but it really did help! It was sort of anchoring when I was all at sea.

Good luck to you, and do keep checking in with your GP.

I can empathise OP, vertigo is one my worse symptoms of my disability, it is totally debilitating.

It sound like a vestibular disorder, rather than neurological have you tried Epley Manoeuver? It didn’t work for me, but does for others.

I take stemtil, but I agree they do make me drowsy. Have you had MRI head? It may be worth asking your specialist just to see if that could give any clues.

I hope you feel better soon Flowers

@HelloPudding that sounds intrestinf will try it!thank you and i will definitely order some ginger tablets i'm willing to try anything!

it's so strange i have so much pressure under my ear kind of like where the eaustachian tube will drain so i feel it's something to do with that but 🤷‍♀️

@Roselilly36 hey yes iv had mri all normal it's awful i do feel mine is vestibular related as it's all one sided and i also get earaches when it's really bad but it's a viscous cycle of anxiety when it's there and then trying to not make it worse oh it's horrid yes nothing helps me

You have my sympathy OP, I know how dreadful it feels and it’s really depressing. People that haven’t had it have no idea of how bad vertigo can be. I have been bedbound with it, unable to open my eyes, having to be taken to toilet, truly awful, a bad spell with me can last two weeks or so, that’s long enough. I hope a solution is found soon for you, sending you a hug.

Hi i am currently going through exactly the same thing. Its awful. The doctor's won't give me anymore tablets now for the dizziness. I am being refered to an ENT after almost two months of feeling like this. I am also being tested for addison's and i am waiting to hear from the hospital.

I (hopefully) have some positive news to share. I did some research into vestibular migraines and how to naturally avoid them with diet. I've been taking Magnesium vitamins, and have also completely changed my eating. I've cut out anything processed, any and all e numbers, eating organic basic foods and avoiding Tyramine rich foods and I've felt good for a week now. Better than I've felt since this started. I've also been to see a vestibular rehabilitation physio today, he did the Epley on me and gave me some brain/eye exercises and seems positive I'm fixable. So there's hope OP!

This was me, OP. I had 6 months where I could barely move and I wasn't really recovered till 18 months had passed. I had BPPV, tried everything but sadly the only thing that helped was time passing. I felt better outside than indoors. Good luck

MamaBearThius · 29/04/2021 20:41

Just regular magnesium vitamins, £1 for about 30 from the chemist =)

Hi OP, did you end up getting to the bottom of this? I'm experiencing the exact same symptoms as you currently.
