How can I cope with toothache..?

My dentist retired a couple of years back and because I was too ill too go for a couple of checkups (hubby explained for me) I got dropped off the list when it transferred to a new dentist and could not get a place. My only income is disability benefits and I was ringing round trying to find an NHS dentist but all the lists were full. Then covid..

So last Tuesday I got toothache I couldn't ignore. By Wednesday I was pulling my hair out. Got an emergency appointment yesterday. I was literally at the end of my tether and so grateful when the dentist pulled a tooth which was broken, decayed and had a fractured root. She said I had another decayed tooth and she wasn't sure about a third. I can tell now the third tooth is cracked. I was in so much pain, my whole face and ear etc I couldn't tell her what hurt exactly. So she said phone this morning. She couldn't fit me in this today so sent me back to 111.
My next appointment is Sunday. But they said they might only be able to treat one of the two. (some sort of emergency treatment rules). Then I suppose I ring 111 and ask again and have to wait some more.
I'm struggling so much, taking the max painkillers they said I can. I'm really struggling to get through this, so tired from lack of sleep and desperate to get rid of the pain. What else can I do to get through this? (tried heat)

Thank you so much everyone. Thanks to various advices I managed to get enough sleep to feel able to get by
DH got me some co-codomol and I have my clove brew and salt washes etc.
Hanging in there now
All the different advices have added up and made it bearable Star
I will find out about the Syndol though

Don't go to A&E. Absolutely nothing that can be done. If your face isn't swollen you are not at risk and you don't need antibiotics.

You have an appointment tomorrow so at this point its a case of hanging in there. The best regime will be co-codamol, alternated with ibuprofen. Take the ibuprofen with food. You can buy ibuprofen with codeine in as well which might work better alternated with paracetamol.

You can try things like anbesol, oragel or bonjela to see if there's any benefit. They won't cause any harm and can be used as much as necessary

I agree with sleep in a chair or at 45 degrees if you can. Toothache is horrible Flowers
