Would this Mark concern you ?

Glanced in the mirror as I hopped into bed last night and noticed this mark above my upper lip.
Never noticed it before, although have since looked back through pics and think it may be faintly visible on one taken a couple of weeks back.
Doesn't itch, not sore, not raised, skin feels normal but it is freaking me out slightly.
Work colleague said maybe hyperpigmentation?

I don't do doctors unless I really have to, although weirdly I'm having my bloods done on Monday as I've been feeling really run down, fuzzy headed etc and was wondering if it's my thyroid.
Can't show doc on Monday though as a colleague is doing my bloods for me at work (work with district nurses).

Answers on a postcard please

No, that wouldn't worry me in the slightest.

I don't know how old you are, but there definitely is a process where we move from the 'perfect' dewy, flawless Grin skin of youth to a mass of moles, lumps and liver-spots at 65!

@Miljea thanks for replying

I'm 42 and my skin has gone down hill in general recently so that theory fits.

I hate getting old lol

Looks like hyperpigmentation to me, I have noticed them on my face too.

Slightly depressing isn't it?

I've got redness around my lips, like the colour is, expending from them or smudged, I'm 42 and it does look a bit weird, if I'm wearing make up I'll pop concealer over it. So what I'm basically saying is I wouldn't worry about. The upper lip is a key area for such things.

ThePricklySheep · 20/02/2021 09:34

It’s a little on the other side too, so I’d put it down to hyperpigmentation.

RosesAndHellebores · 20/02/2021 09:40

Sun damage.

itsgettingwierd · 20/02/2021 09:50

I got one on my cheek about 10 years ago!

I was told it's hyperpigmentation that just occurs with age as our skin has had more explosive to the sun.
